By plane:
SAS/Lufthansa and Norwegian Airlines (www.norwegian.de)
will fly to the airport of Evenes/Narvik (Code EVE) Stop-over at Oslo airport as
there are no direct flights to Evenes available.)
The busses to Sortland are timed around the airports arrivals and departure
times so there will be a bus waiting at the airport upon your arrival. Timetable
for Flybuss Evenes - Sortland may be checked at www.nordtrafikk.no
I suggest buying a return ticket (around 315 NOK) for the bus as it will save
you approximately 105 NOK on buying two single tickets.
Alternative routes:
Catch a plane to either Bodø or Tromsø, where you can take the ferry
"Hurtigrute" to Sortland. Further flight information may be looked up at
www.wideroe.no to Skagen near Sortland.
By train:
The closest railway station is Narvik when travelling across Sweden or Fauske
when travelling across Norway. Please check times for travelling at www.bahn.de
trains and www.nordtrafikk.no for busses to Sortland. Additional information may
also be available at your travel agency.
By car:
If you are travelling with your own car, please make sure you are using spiked
tires as the roads will be cleared of snow but will still be icy.
